Continuing the coverage of the knives that SOSAK members have modded for the Wenger Booth at the Outdoor Retailers Show this month, we have Mike Granborg's entry.

According to Mike:

"I want to thank you for the opportunity to participate in this project.

This is my Wenger Mod submittal to the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City.

It is a Wenger Ranger, model 53 with custom scales.

The scales are made from CorianTM scrap material salvaged from countertop installation overcuts. The bolster is made from a color called “Earth” and the handle is made from “Ecru”.

The fitting was done by hand; The ‘clamshell’ scale recesses were achieved through Dremel tool mounted to drill press with depth stop.

Thanks again,

Mikael Granborg"

Thank you Mike!  This knife is absolutely gorgeous!  I hope to see more of your mods here in the future!
