Blanche DuBois may depend on the kindness of strangers, but I prefer to do for myself.  Of course when it comes to the seemingly limitless generosity of SOSAK members I am always floored.

In the past week or so I have benefitted greatly from the kindness of SOSAK members and I don't think that should go without a public declaration of gratitude.

Various members in recent times have either traded, sold or outright given me some very impressive pieces to add to my collection or use and abuse as only I can!

I don't want to embarrass anyone by mentioning names, but I'm sure everyone wants to know the important, juicy details about the swag.

In no particular order:

1. Brookstone Mauser- Three layer Mauser, typical Mauser configuration only made for Brookstone.

2.  Two vintage 84mm Golfers- 84mm versions of the current issue Victorinox Compact.

3.  Black scaled Scibeer Yeoman- Formerly an Explorer model cut down to the old three layer Yeoman configuration, adding more confusion to the Great Yeoman Conspiracy.

4.  Vintage Wenger- I love the old bailer model SAKs from the mid 60's and this one is in gorgeous shape.

I also got some other, non SAK things that are certainly worth mentioning.  In my mailbox today was a slightly used Becker Necker, which I guarantee will see more use soon despite it being a collectable now.

All in all, a pretty darned good week, and a huge thank you to certain members- you guys know who you are!
